McConnell says that negotiations should be based to this framework. At least things are moving forward.

I see. I am not seeing anywhere where it says you can lose your status by simply getting a traffic ticket. The only thing that I don't agree with is never being able to sponsor your parents. Nuclear family is/should be: Parents, spouse, children. Everything else seems fair.

This is a fair framework to start negotiations with, and Democrats should move forward with it.

Durbin's statement translates into the following:

Fu**, we lost the election and we screwed up on immigration. Now we are going to do everything to make Trump look bad, even if it hurts immigrant youth.

If immigrant youth are hurt, we are still gonna blame him.

People who accept this framework are being really dumb. If Democrats were willing to accept this, we would've gotten a bill a long time ago. Do you really think that this framework is LESS than the white house was negotiating with Schumer? Do you really think they decided to start their negotiating position by asking for LESS than Trump agreed to with Schumer right before the shutdown?

The white house is releasing this framework with every wish list item they can think of. The Democrats will never accept anything near what this framework lays out. If this was acceptable, there would've been a deal weeks ago.

Let's get this straight: Trump and Schumer probably agreed to do wall for DACA. Then after Schumer leaves the white house, Kelly convinces Trump to renege on the deal because they want more. Now they are trying to get MORE by going through the Senate, not less.

Exactly. Family is blood. If they aren't getting anything, I don't want anything.

President Trump said Friday that he and Republicans want to find a way to extend protections for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Trump said during an interview with CNBC's Joe Kernen that "nobody wants to take care of DACA more than myself and the Republican party."

"Look, we're going to try and make a deal on DACA. We have a good chance of making it. What we need is we need the wall, we need security, we need security at the border," Trump said.

I hope we don’t get anything. People are bitching way too much. They need to feel the burn.

Nope. These people need to get their asses to a CIR forum like Copper suggested. I’m here for the Dream Act/DACA. I’m here to be legalized, not hoot and holler and demand shit for more people to be legalized.
