Republicans are now leading the Generic Poll, perhaps because of the popular Tax Cuts which the Dems want to take away. Actually, they want to raise you taxes, substantially. Also, they want to do nothing on DACA, R’s want to fix!
“A Politico/Morning Consult poll from last week showed Republicans with a 1 point lead in the generic congressional ballot test, with 39 percent favoring the Republican candidate in their district, verses 38 percent who favor the Democratic candidate. The poll also found 23 percent were undecided.

It was not clear whether Mr. Trump was referencing this exact poll, but it’s one of the few that show Republicans in the lead. The Real Clear Politics generic congressional ballot test shows a nearly 7 point lead for Democrats.”

This is from right wing the Washington Times, even they state democrats still hold a 7 point advantage, however this is down from 13 points from a poll late last year. (Newsweek)

Supreme Court DACA case re-listed for justices' private conference on Friday, 2/23. Could see action that day or the following Monday. #SCOTUS

This morning the Supreme Court released orders from the justices’ private conference last week. The court did not act on the federal government’s petition for review of a dispute over whether the Trump administration can terminate the program known as “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals,” which allows undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children to apply for protection from deportation. In a relatively rare move, the government asked the Supreme Court to weigh in even before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit has ruled on the Trump administration’s appeal of a January 9 ruling by a federal judge in California, who blocked the federal government from ending the DACA program. Many court watchers believed that if the justices planned to grant the government’s request and hear oral argument in the case this term, they would have done so last Friday, shortly after their conference, to jump-start what would be an expedited briefing schedule. The justices likely will consider the case again at their conference on Friday, February 23.

The question that has been bugging me is the following: What happens if they just feel like not renewing? They could keep the applications on hold as long as they want. Isn't that a possibility?

That has been exactly my concern as well. USCIS has little incentive to meet the renewal deadlines if DACA becomes a dead cause. I suspect they won't but technically they can drop all renewals in process altogether if the court rules in favor of Trump.

That's why it is naive to think that we have leverage/time on our side. Congress needs to act and act fast. I wouldn't hang my hat on this injunction or two more years of DACA.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about DACA being abandoned, because that was always a possibility...now even more so.

And the need for Congress to act doesn't mean they will.

We all desperately need something, but it doesn't mean anything will happen.

Just send out your renewals and hope for the best...simple as that.

Okay. So I am not the only one that thought about this... I better save up until the end of September... It never ends, does it? Jesus Christ.
