Eddy is clear about anonymity and won't be printing names. This is also sort of a learning process for him.

He wants to conduct as many interviews as possible by early next week.

Mark has already gone ahead and given one. I'll give one tomorrow.

well, I'm sorry Mr. K-Man, but for some of us English is our second language. Don't worry tho, I'm not writing a letter. But Kenny might want to and what you said is a bit discouraging...and also kind of mean. But whatever.

I agree with you. It takes only one half-assed written letter for people to believe that ALL Dreamies speak like that. It takes hard work to become as fluent in a second language as you are in your first, but it isn't impossible unless you're lazy and don't give a damn.

Damn, I'm a bit late! But I can send him a letter to him explaining my awesome school career(hehe) and then my downfall(after highschool).

A short-version of my story.
Dad comes to US, dad was a teacher/principal in Mexico.

From Mexico to US. I was going to the 4th grade.
5th grade, top #1 in my class.
6th grade participates in spelling bee of all school, 3rd place.
7th grade-8th grade, all honors classes.

9-12 grade, some IB classes and decent GPA 3.75 or something I think.

Can't pay for school so he plays lots of video games! :P

Plays RTS Game & works and takes 1 class per semester.

Becomes #1 on the RTS(I'll tell you the game if you really need to know) game and is famous online(@ the game) .

Was also reasonably good at other games, enough to have been able to participate in World Cyber Games.

Cool, huh? Boring but ok... :P

Now I wonder, I was really really good at some of these video games. And some of these video games have their "world series" or "olympics" per say... tournaments around the world, could a lawyer make an argument that I have a special skill? Haha, that'd be awesome.

English is a second-language for me also, and I didn't speak a word of it when I immigrated here at the age of 12, from a non-latin country nonetheless - which means I had to learn from scratch, starting with the alphabet. Yeah.. so stop your sass.

I'm simply stating that we should promote the best of us, instead of discouraging someone.

This photographing thing has had some of us a bit ... edgy. I myself refused to do it, knowing how many of the people who know me in academia are likely to pick up a copy, but since Eddy really needed someone to "balance-out" in California and Citi couldn't and they agreed to do it in a way to safeguard my privacy, I gave the green light. They should be here in an hour--will let you know how it goes. I am wondering whether to take the half-nude L word women off my walls, but heck, that may just increase sales (kidding...).

Thank you to everyone who participated!

P.S. As for sounding 'educated' and having good English, let me just say that it is ultimately up to the reporter--you can give them a great many intellectual and profound statements, and they end up printing something utterly stupid or non-sensical. It has happened to me on several occasions. Just be at your best, don't have high expectations and give yourself a pat on the back for trying

He was queer and she was clueless (Re: Is Jennifer Beals gay?)

We cracked some QAF and L word jokes, and they spent 2 hours here. I don't ever want to hear "Nice nice, excellent" etc. ever again. LOL. They took a lot of shots of me on the window, then rolling around in bed and what not. I will take a look at the final selection of pictures and see what all the fuss was about... Psst

U PERV!

They wanted to get a shot of my awards and degrees which is next to my bed so it was an overhead shot of me in bed, FULLY CLOTHED, reading, so they could get the wall behind me as well while also covering my identity, geez

Anyway they wasted like 2 reels... I am so not cut out for this. If you don't get a good shot the first 20 times, what makes you think that the 40th one would be great? LOL!
