I call BS; there is no such thing as permanent DACA and certainly no line to citizenship through it.

The discharge petition was brought about for USAAct, Dream Act, RAC Act to cover all childhood arrivals.

Fuck the freedom caucus, Meadows and his restrictionist crap. People like his ilk at DHS are already in deep shit for losing 1500 children and abusing families and children. What they really want is to piggyback the failed Farm bill on a successful Dreamer-relief bill.

Right, without actually creating and voting for a solution.

They got no choice. If they dont cave, they lose leverage because without them something less conservative would pass, number one. Number two, would set a precedent where it would circumvent their caucus; making them less relevant, possibly in more issues as well. Adapt or collapse over time; is we what comes down to. This is only happening because of the discharge petition. They are simply going with the lesser of two evils (in their view)

Can we just deport all the republicans who wont sign. I'm sure if a judge somewhere can say trump can't block people from his twitter, we can find a judge that says republicans that wont sign dream act are deportable.

Hey guys. Does this mean we’re getting legalized. I’m at BottleRock in Napa, California. I’m sitting in the lawn drinking beer. Going to watch Bruno Mars play.

Should I leave now and celebrate?

Exactly.

The Freedom Caucus is going to cave on chain migration and the DV lottery because they want to stay relevant like several other members have mentioned. Making these two items the sticking points will lead to a break down in talks sooner rather than later ensuring the success of the discharge petition. The easiest way out is to eliminate any changes to chain migration and the DV lotto and focus on a DACA + Border Security package.

IMHO, we're going to end up with one of two things (if talks don't fall apart altogether):
1. DACA + Border Wall without a pathway to citizenship meaning we find our own way to citizenship within the current immigration system.
2. DACA + Border Wall with conditional green cards that do not allow us to adjust for 10-12 years. This appeases their base by saying we didn't get any special treatment and they avoided a new wave of DREAMers in the future.

Just celebrate ur alive lol

Congress always fucks it up at the very end so lets wait till theres a bill and they vote on it.

And if Trump signs on, then we are good

But until then we gotta wait and see

Its always a waiting game lol
