Breaking: Jeff Denham leaving McCarthy’s office tells me they’re still pursuing a compromise and holding off discharge petition until Tuesday. “We are taking their (Freedom Caucus) recommendations as a compromise and I think we’ve got a path forward.”

Moderates are HOLDING OFF for now on discharge: “The discharge petition gives us a timeline, which means we’ve got until next Tuesday to get an agreement on paper that we know we’ve got whipped and have enough votes for,” Denham just told me.

Tuesday? I thought I saw someone post that the deadline to get the 218 signatures for the discharge petition was by 6/11/18.

Latest DACA churn: I have 2 moderate sources saying conservatives last night offered some sort of new visa program for dreamers, which would be a huge deal if true. But conservative sources are denying this completely. All the happy talk is evaporating an hour after this meeting
They want to sabotage it. What Ryan wants already failed the Senate. 4 pillars failed abysmally; could not even get 40 votes!!
Q: So are Denham and Curbelo not serious? With the signatures needed already secured, they look like a joke.

It's unbelievable to me that 31 members can have Ryan and GOP leadership by the balls. Whatever they want, almost certainly stands no chance in the Senate.
