The other bills that do not exclude Dreamers for arbitrary out of their control reasons are the better choice for the country.

Btw, Senator Durbin's office was kind enough to write back about a push to solve this problem, even though I am not an IL constituent.

For those complaining about this bill, Imagine you were an aged out dreamer and never qualified for anything. The provisions are as arbitrary as the date Obama chose.

Some will benefit some will not.

The Senate still has a chance to make changes. They just need to pass something out of the Damn house.

Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C.

Not sure but this might be for people that got these orders recently. When you get a deportation or voluntary departure order, you get a period of time before the order becomes final so you can appeal if you want or get your affairs in order. Usually 120 days.

No its not arbitrary. DACAs age cap and arrival cap were arbitrary. This is very calculated. It only allows a small percentage of DREAMERS provisions. This was purposely put in places so that the Republican party can claim that they attempted to do something to resolve the Dreamer issue. If it fails they could blame the Democrats. If it passes they can still save face to their party because it didn't provide mass amnesty. They know the majority of us have departure orders, they calculated this. Cunning jerks.

Even if it does pass the House, this criteria will not be altered in the Senate. No one wants the blame of legalizing us.
