4 Reasons why it failed miserably:

1. It was a compromise amongst Republicans only, so no Dem votes at all.

2. Right wing Caucus were never truly willing to vote for any type of legalization.

3. Trump was clueless about the process and the details. By calling it a "pointless " effort, he doomed the bill even more.

4. The moderates caved too much and allowed the Goodlatte bill to become the election year bill to vote for to protect GOP incumbents.

So, for those Dreamers that were willing to throw their own family members under the bus for a visa aka DACA style status, should now learn that the Right Wing is NEVER going to be a positive for any immigration reform or effort.

Only moderate bipartisan proposals can pass, but once we have a Dem House and Dem President.

The Senate has a better track record of passing bipartisan legislation.

So...until next year I guess.

I will always be against Trump. He is a heartless man who needs to lose reelection for the sake of this democracy and civility.

Biden 2020!!!!

@TomJawetz is reporting that actually Curbelo and Denham worked behind closed doors with Miller in this fake Dreamer bill so that they could receive praise in the media for pretense efforts while ensuring that the discharge petition would not hit the floor once it was clear that it did have enough bipartisan votes to pass.

I believe it. Time for both of those assholes to get replaced by Dems.

Well, what is @SenateDems's plan? As in the same detailed legal and strategic policy plans at the ready that Reps have the moment they have a chance?

It was clear that if nothing passed before December, nothing was going to get passed.
