Dudes,

They are not going to go nuclear option on this. They have had all fucking year to do that. They won't do it now.

Remember the last shutdown? I think legislators will stay in DC trying to break the impasse to prevent any damage to affected government employees.

Process 1) if McConnell wanted to use the nuclear option to alter Senate precedent and establish a new norm of a simple majority to end a legislative filibuster for border wall, the Senate must be in a very particular parliamentary posture. Senate is nowhere near that status now

Process 2) The process of the nuclear option in the Senate requires a very specific parliamentary cul-de-sac where nothing else is debatable. In the case of Nuclear Option 1 & 2, the Senate was dealing with recalling failed cloture motions to end debate

Shutdown has to happen for both sides to mention DACA, and I think it will be mentioned if it happens because there is no other way to break the impasse on any wall funding.

I think democrats strategy is to fund until February when Pelosi would have control over appropriations. Republicans and trump would be blamed for that shutdown as well.

Even if McConnell goes nuclear, he does not have 50 votes.

Corker is a no

Murkowski is no for sure

Flake is always flaky, but most likely no

Collins is almost surely a no

Graham and Huckabee mentioned DACA Wall deal

Nobody from Dems mentioned DACA

Dems are hell bent to see DACA end
