He will lose if he does this. What a fucking idiot.

Offer something permanent on DACA, and you have a higher chance of getting your wall money. Fucking stupid move if he does this. Idiot.

Says a lot about his willingness to negotiate any sorta deal on DACA. Think about the great lengths he's going to in order to avoid a DACA deal.

The garbage 3 year deal he offered was "too amnesty" and even that took the longest shutdown ever day 30.

This makes me think that he never wanted a deal to begin with and that he will always oppose a deal for DACA throughout his presidency. I mean you never know, but to me, this points to him and/or his advisers just really really not wanting to do anything for the DACA population.

He listens to the far right way too much!

All he cares about is his base! Any other republican we’d be on a pathway to citizenship by mow

People that think this is torpedoing his 2020 chances are lying to himself.

His base wants him to just use his powers of office to build the wall, this excites them and makes them happy.
If he gets to build it, and gets a significant reduction in illegal immigrants he will have won one of his biggest campaign promises.

Not only that but he has already pivoted from Mexico financially paying for the wall, to mexico paying in a roundabout way for the wall.

With a wall securely in place, they can then focus on a broad deal on immigration. He has already said there wont be massive removals.
