Some of his base might believe his emergency charade, but some of his base will not believe it. At this point, he can't lose much of his base and still win in 2020.
Then again, who knows if he even wants to win 2020 or what his goals are at this point. After February when it's 100% certain SCOTUS will not take DACA this term, it's going to be one hell of an election season in 2019 and 2020. If a Democrat wins in 2020, it'll be our job to make sure they keep their word because we all know that Democrats will campaign on DREAMers after SCOTUS strikes down DACA in early 2020. |
