Why do Dreamers keep thinking Trump and the Republicans will bail us out with a temporary extension?

These people are trying to do everything in its power to get us out and undermine LEGAL immigration but yet we should expect some type of bail out?

The last time Pres. Trump offered us any type of “extension” this was in his proposed bill.

Quote:

-The bill would limit the extension of DACA protections to only those currently enrolled in the program. The bill would not extend DACA but rather replaces it with a totally different program that will exclude untold thousands of Dreamers who would have been eligible under DACA.

-We would have to re-apply and application fees for the program would also increase and judicial reviews for application denials would end. No renewals accepted.

-Applicants would have to prove they earn at least 125 percent of the poverty level while in the U.S. and to pay back tax credits that they legally obtained while working.

-Impose a monetary fine for being in the country illegally.

-Excluded Dreamers who ever claimed citizenship. Many Dreamers don’t ever realize that they are here illegally until they find out through their parents.

-Excluded Dreamers with removal orders.

-Prevented dreamers from getting permanent residency through marriage.
He wanted his wall fully FUNDED and this was what we would temporarily get in return.

Anyone that thinks he’s going to pull out his magical pen if DACA ends or people start expiring are truly delusional.

Yeah. It is significantly worse than DACA yet people are somehow rationalizing that the bridge act is ok. There's a huge misunderstanding where people think bridge act just lets you extend your DACA but it doesn't. This is a new, stricter program with lots of poison pills and no ability to renew and closes avenues that lets you legalize.

I really hope Congress can come to their senses and pass something reasonable and I hope Trump ignores Miller on DACA. But reality says that the chance of it happening is very low.

Congress is useless and even if they did who knows if trump will be on board with it. Republicans moderate stance on daca is the bridge act withs Tom of poison bills. This is how kind their heart is to us. Daca for these people is already too much love for us. I legitimately don’t understand how asshole like 2Face can come here with a straight face and blame democrats for what is going on

John Robers (who hates drama/controversy/confrontation/using the court for the any kind of politician manufactured political maneuvering because the man still thinks the supreme court should look at least somewhat decent to the public) will make the court punt on DACA until after the next election. It helps that Trump attacked him on twitter. It also helps that the Trump administration keeps harassing the court about us. I think the more they push to take up the case the more annoyed Roberts will get and therefore the more likely he is to keep punting. Roberts is the one that started voting with the liberals to make the court look more moderate after Trump took office. Roberts also saved Obamacare once upon a time. The man seems like a decent human being. I don't think he will vote to destroy our lives if he can get away with "punting" on DACA for as long as he can get away with it.

Anyone that feels burdened by DACA is more than welcome to stop renewing, self-deport and f!ck right off!

Why so angry brother/sister?

Did you happen to see the USS John S. McCain on your recent trip to Japan?
