The issue here is that Trump might be asking for too much. The 4 pillars + DACA will not pass in Congress. If he asks for too much both parties will turn against him. I don't see dems giving anything more than a few billion for a wall that they won't finish if they get elected. If he's not genuine in trying to get latino votes, this will backfire badly.

Once we see the EO we'll know if he's trolling or not.

You are legit the only dude/gal I like conversing with. Majority of people on here dismiss people who they don’t agree with as “gay” or “trumpets.” The reason why I am excited is the fact he is saying this publicly and I am just convinced that there will be no action to end DACA at least. That is enough for me. I also like that the issue still seems to be at forefront for him. But yes there will be nothing...at least prior to the elections and that is what is sad.

Dude. Wake up. Any kind of benefit we get is gonna be labeled "Dream Act" or "amnesty" by the right. They don't know the difference. It's not about the specifics of the act when it comes to the fallout. It's about the general idea of giving us any kind of benefit, which will inflame the right regardless of the level of benefits we get.

You really think he will do this in goodwill? I bet he will trade it for permanent abolishment of H1B and F1, making Democrats choose and creating a rift between different groups of immigrants.

One thing is for sure..SOME SORT of executive action is coming. And if you look at Bretibart in the comments section ALOT of people are actually warming up to Dreamers. I have never seen these many positive comments on Dreamers. Trump has no more fear of losing his base. This is the right damn time for Dreamers to push hard to get what we want. For sure there is executive action coming..I don’t know what. This man will go at any length to win the election and this is what we must exploit.

This “no amnesty” announcement is meant to calm the base down. Get real people..something is going to give for sure.

Very stupid of Trump to announce an EO on immigration is coming really. Why? because he is giving the opposition time to prepare lawsuits against it.
