So in short they're more than doubling the cost of DACA applications. DACA need to send in applications 120 days before (4 months) in fear of it not being processed on time, but chances are you get yours in 2 months or something like that (the expiration date is based off when it's processed, not your previous EAD expiration time). Which means you technically renew your DACA like every 9-10 months, not every year.

This might not be the last restriction they add. Not sure how legal this all is, as rejecting new DACA & AP are definitely not within the pre rescinded DACA program.

When do you expire? If the 2 to 1 year renewal memo is gonna happen, probably not a good idea to renew a year in advanced, cuz you'll probably gain like a couple months tops. If you expire a few months after Jan 2021, I say wait for election results first.

No. They do not mention that will happen in the memo. Only new renewal approvals from this day forward will be limited to 1 yr.

Ufffff why can’t they just leave us alone? My renewal was sent in months ago I will get a 1 year renewal? That sucks, man. 1 year is too short and goes by fast. Before you know it you gotta renew again, no peace of mind.

The memo states the following:

Limit the period of renewed deferred action granted pursuant to the DACA policy after the issuance of this memorandum to one year.

It was issued today. So all new renewals will be limited to 1 year starting now.
