I'm starting to think Biden negotiated killing minimum wage w/Manchin to get his support on reforming the filibuster. Manchin owns a few businesses that would've been impacted and both of Biden's Delaware homeboys voted w/Manchin.

These cocksuckers weren't going to vote for a bill anyways. We just have to hope they lose the election or die off.

Crazy how this is looking like a repeat of 2010. House quickly passes DA so Pelosi can declare victory. Nothing happens in Senate.

I really don't see how this gets passed in the senate. Even if you include border security to the bill, you won't get 10+ republicans to support it. No way will Republicans pass any legislation that can help improve the current crisis @ the border. They are going to use that for the next 4 years and blame Biden and Dems for having open borders, all those illegals bringing covid etc etc. This is what the base wants for the Republicans. Only way it passes is if Manchin wants to fix the border crisis and he will have to support reforming the filibuster. But then we still have 2-3 other dems that may not support legalization. But Dems will get all the blame again after 2-3 Dems don't support legalization and 100% of republicans vote against it too.

Everyone, please relax. Both sides will need to do something on border security because inaction sure as hell will not help.. Biden is not going to discourage people from arriving at the border based on rhetoric alone, especially since there is a lot of misinformation going around among the caravans. Biden has gone on TV to tell people to stop coming. Not helping. Gov needs more resources at the border. They Will need to do something on border security. Let’s see how talks go. To me this article just emphasizes once again that a clean Dream Act will not pass.
