"Even though power is about to change hands in one chamber, various media outlets report there will be attempts to push damaging immigration legislation such as a mass amnesty and increased immigration through Congress over the next few weeks"

Damaging to WHOM??

What a bunch of lying a**holes; they damn well know it is the opposite. Notice how in 'their deport them all' obsession, they never tell the public that they mean farmworkers, nannies, cleaners, hospital and healthcare staff, teachers, restaurant employees, construction crews who made a life in the country decades ago. Or IT staff, teachers, business owners.

Someone put them on camera and ask 'Should we deport farmworkers?' 'Should we deport health care staff?' and clearly the answer from the public will be 'no'.

Fearmongering and outrage are classic tactics that the GOP uses to motivate their low-educated white demographic. This is nothing new, next they will post pictures and run news segments of non-white people who commit crimes and demonize us all it. Don't forget a caravan, since we are talking immigration, one is going to start soon; no doubt the hawks are gathering them as we speak.

Why continue to be outraged at the same old tactics? The classics never fade.

triggered af like the usual democrat. rational thought out of the window right away, just feelings.

if they include the asylum people with our fix it WILL be very damaging.... bunch of people will go flood the border even more.. more children and people dead attempting to cross, have you seen the mess at the border right now with the venezuelans?.

its CRITICAL that the bill includes ONLY DACAS.

You need a comprehension remedial class - I don't refer to newly arrived refugees, asylees, I talk about ppl like us with decades of life in the U.S.
They must include all Dreamers. If Dems whip votes to decriminalize drugs, they can work to legalize Dreamers. Right-wingers don't want to help anyone because tgey are obsessed with newly arrived ppl.

Where will they get the votes in the Senate? The reality is that the votes are not there for a Dream act and most likely a daca bill as well.
