It may have been awful choice from our point of view, but it was a good tactical choice for the GOP.

well it wasn't a great tactical choice... but it was a decent choice. But I can't really blame them, who else would they have chosen? The dude who just quit the all white country club? Like the CNN said it isn't about trying to get minority vote, Republican party just doesn't want to look racist. They put minorities in all the big public positions (rice, powell, gonzalez). They are scared of being seen as the racist party, reasonably so.

I think that this may have the opposite effect of that. Pandering to Race (with out any real intentions of helping) is to me, almost as bad.

Plus if the Reps didnt want to look racist then theyd stop with their Xenophobia and anti immigrant hate speech.

Its pretty easy for them to NOT look racist. They only hafta try.
