Thats the second one the first one said basically the same thing.

So this is my first time actually posting in here, despite reading pretty much everything for months. I feel like I know a lot of you, as disconcerting as that sounds haha. And I want to thank all of you for posting and talking about how this process has been because I tend not to talk about this much or to anyone at all, so it was comforting to see other people endure the same (if not more) wracking anxiety.

With that said, I'm now posting because I received an answer to my second service request that made me very uneasy. I tend to worry a lot so I was wondering if anyone else received an answer like mine.


The first one that I sent (On June 30) received the reply I've seen most of you post: "Pending Adjudication."


But the second (On Sept. 23) read:

"On 09/23/2013 you, or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case.

The status of this service request is:

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete."



Has anyone else received a response like this? Processing hold??



Not sure how to add a signature yet but my timeline is:

Application Sent: January 2, 2013 // Delivered to Texas Service Center: January 3
Routed and Accepted at Vermont Service Center: January 7
Biometrics: February 5 Transferred: May 23, 2013 (Texas)
I came here on an L2 visa and I have one expunged misdemeanor.

Please dont worry about it at all. Belina- I got that same exact message when I applied for e-request-1 in May. Dont worry its basically their way of telling you its still in processing. What you need to do is every month(31 days after you filed the last e-request) submit a -request but remember when you do that call it in and tell them how long you have been waiting. I did 4 before mine got approved my first was that same thing you got, the 2nd said pending, 3rd said pending and the fourth time I got approved. Nothing is wrong with your case its just a matter of time. Do not speak to a level 2 person if you dont have to they are snobs!!!! they act like they dont have a care in the world!!!

SRafaela--- I have heard of people getting this and getting approved not to long after. Dont worry guys everything will be ok. Its all just fancy talk for "we didnt get to you yet" Just like I told belina do the same thing every 31 days make a service request.

You know something i noticed a very distinct pattern. if you go on the website and look at the data of approvals which is below every state is evened out. I guess its like a state pattern thing if you look it looks like they are taking a few cases from each 50 states every month. Just my observation.

yep your right... just means pending still until they get to it...it sucks that we cant call the fbi anymore to find out if they sent back our names or not

With CIR pretty much dead i don't mind this process taking a little longer, if I were to get approved anyways. The future of DACA is uncertain after Obama leaves the White House.

Yep that's true one minute everything is cool then all of a sudden a political tornado passes. The good news is that we can all reapply in 2015 one year before they kick obama out so hopefully everyone has a good 4 years out of it. I remember when the real dream act got filibustered in the senate man that crushed everyone's dream and cir was out the window too. Don't worry your wait won't be too long again.

Hey Tony can i ask if you did the filing yourself or did a lawyer do it for you?
