I'm glad people are getting approved so congrats BUT this if fucking bullshit, some people are well over twice the waiting period uscis has posted on their site and some people who just applied get approved within 3 months. Very unfair if you ask me, i had to get that off my chest.

its OK to feel that way, to be honest I felt the same for a while too! looking at the previous approval timelines some were getting approved at 30-45 days. so waiting longer than 3 months seems insane, I myself felt like I was being singled out, everyday I would check the status and it would always say "initial review" so I would check LIN#'s around me and most have gotten approved, but I would also see other LIN# lower than mine with same status. I didn't even get an RFE or anything so the craziest things would play out in my head, like them losing my application or them sending agent to my house to deport me LOL!!! USCIS website does say u can contact them if your application processing is outside of the normal timeline!

I also think that everyone's case is different as far as how they entered the country, some came in as tourist then overstayed, some crossed the border without proper inspection then had to use fake identities etc to obtain employment, education etc.. people do what they have to do for a better life, I am one of those (family came in as tourists, I was about 7-8 yrs old then overstayed) im not judging but it seem like cases where a persons identity is harder to prove get a little longer to get processed, on top of other things like background checks, completeness of the application etc!!!

You'll get approved too!!

BTW- people probably know this but from "initial review" the status changes to "post decision activity" approved/card document production". it doesn't even stay in the other spots.

You dam right man!! I waited over 12 months for this shit to kick in and it's not even because of background checks. I even had to speech off a level 2 officer cuz she was like oh all our info on the uscis website is false and she said you people have to wait in line even if it takes 2 more years. I let her have it cuz at the time I didn't care what's the worse they could do deport me for having an attitude? Lol
I heard they only take certain amounts of cases from each state each month so that every state is evened out...I was told that by 5 lawyers

Nothing new to be honest, it's been like that since DACA started.

Just don't be surprise if you reach 8 or 9+ months and still nothing.

That is a bit dumb because states don't have the same population. Consider California, which is the one with most applications submitted at 161k (and 134k approved) and Montana, the one with least applications submitted with 32 (and 23 approved).

Since I know I won't be approved before October 15 (when my six months are up), I will be emailing as many people as I can. I know that can be counterproductive, but I cannot sit still while people who applied well after I did are being approved.
