This means that almost all the top 27 states (I didn't wanna do all of them, but I'm sure the rate continues the same) have approved at least 75% of the applications (don't forget we aren't counting the denied ones).

So, there should be no reason why people have to wait for so long.
Actually dude there is a reason....after my 6th month I made 3 infopasses and talked with officers. They told me that some of the files are just unfortunate to get "not noticed" and I was told this by all 3 officers this ain't my opinion or anything. That's what tripped me off and I started doing the e requests. The level 2 were like stop doing that and wait like everyone else but I was like you can kiss my ass Im filing it again next month try and stop me. What made me keep doing is that when I called and spoke to a normal rep they said if you do enough e-requests you might get their attention in the service center so that's what I did and I guess it worked after 4 of them.

Yea man it's like everyone you talk to from immigration has a different answer or giving you the same thing in uscis but bro take my advice about the e requests. I participate in another forum and that's what everyone on it started doing and low and behold everything started rfe or approvals for many. Every 31 days.

I agree. Maybe people's files are at the bottom (again, why they don't do FIFO is beyond me) of the stacks (like Alexander's or mine), but that shows you how bad at their job they really are.

I don't plan on staying quiet (as I've said it many times in the different threads), I just need to wait twelve more days to be able to b!tch and start emailing even more people, someone might be helpful (I know my congressman was not).

Call them dont do it online. Call the national hotline or whatever immigration is calling it these days by calling 1-800-375-5283. Now its very important that when its dialing and it asks you for info on deferred action press that button for yes dont talk to the regular reps. Now listen to the message and when its done it will ask you if you want more info press that button. then after the message press the button to speak with a representative. What you want to do is bitch and complain like crazy BUT do it very nicely cause the people that you get redirected to are usually pretty nice. And tell them you would like to file an e-request to see why the hell immigration is taking so long!!!! (again nicely) and then they will ask you for info and give you a long number for a confirmation. You should get an email back within a few days (even though they say 15 or 21). 31 days after that file again and repeat the process and after a few times the reps themselves can add on notes to the e-request. I hope this helps.

And to Texan Jose--
YEEPPPP they dont do fifo they do --- FI-(whenever we feel like) out---
Dude thats the key dont keep quiet at all i use to call like 5 times a week asking for processing times and other shit, if I wasnt doing that I had Infopass appts, and if I wasnt doing that it was e-requests. Staying quiet in this matter is like a sin LOL

Hey guys,

Just wondering, can I apply for an SSN while this govt shutdown is occurring? I'm just hesitant in going to the office to apply. If not, can I go and just apply for a drivers license? This is for NY state.
