Please note the above forms are only the basic forms needed for all AOS packets, if you have a specific situation such as applying under 245I you may need other forms as well.

This may be due to the fact I have been arrested. I did bring with me the court disposition of the case. All charges were dropped and the arrest was nullified. I gave the officer the document with that information but she said a further background check would be needed and I should wait for the decision in the mail. I hate this BS. I will keep you guys updated when the decision comes in the mail. |

That is pretty standard. Background checks are usually longer if you have an arrest. At the very least, the hardest part is over and now is just the waiting game. You should be fine because you were not taken in to custody at the interview.

I did search online after the interview and it does seem common nowadays for them to not approve on the spot. I know everything will be fine as I don’t have a criminal record but the thought of having to wait even more is just upsetting.
I’ll update this thread when they give me the final decision.
