I did not get approve on the spot then they issued me an RFE for a new medical. NYC field office takes forever to give u a schedule for interview. My medical expired since it’s more than a year. I just found out I was approved cuz they sent me an I-797 notice of approval of my I485. After 5 days they sent my 10 years GC cuz I’m married more than 2 years. My online status never changed till now, it still says ‘interview scheduled”. It’s probably gonna be like that till I become a citizen lol. Some people get notification sometimes u just see it in the mail. You can’t rely on the case status cuz they r not consistent.

Hi Guys,

Quick question for you all. How long after getting married did you submit your AOS application?

I have been dating this guy (USC) for couple of months and everything has been going great and getting serious pretty quickly. We started talking about marriage and kids (we are in our 30's), and due to what is going on we might just do it sooner. I started wondering that if we do get married for legitimate reasons, not just to get my GC, is there a rule of thumb of how long we have to wait before applying so it doesn't look like its some scam?

I'm new to this thread. I recently came back from an Ap travel which helps to clear my EWI. I started reading through this long thread but since its thousands of pages long i have questions, dont know if its been as asked already but if anyone can answer them. TIA

So my question is when your EWI was cleared with AP and you have to answer questions on forms about "class of admission" do you put "paroled"

Also if the form ask about "date of admission" are you only putting the date you were "paroled back into the U.S". Your original entry date when you EWI, for however long you have been in the US, are you supposed to enter that date on any of the questions on the form?

Yes to both. The date you came back in.

Thank you for answering my question. So just so I'm clear on the answer to my second question. I only need to put the day I was paroled in (on all forms)? There is no need to mention my EWI entry date for AOS purposes?

I'm self filing, so i just want to make sure I get it right. Thanks in advance.

Hi - I sent my application in 12/01/2017 and I got a letter for acceptance within 2 weeks, then at the end of the month of December I receive a letter with the Biometrics appointment. I was scheduled to take my biometrics yesterday (01/03/2018.). However, since I had just recently taken my biometrics from renewing DACA in July 2017, I was told that USCIS would use the same fingerprints they took back in July.

Hope it helps. You should get your letters soon; the Holidays may be delaying your letters of acceptance.
