Thank you for answering!! I was wondering how that all goes down because I too have read that if you had a recent biometrics done you wouldn’t do one if you are aos. I’m planning on submitting the second half of the process soon and I was hoping to not have to do biometrics since I renewed daca recently but I guess I will have to anyways.

However, the guy from the application support center first scanned four of my fingers at the same time, and then the most recent fingerprints from July 2017 showed up, so he said that they would use the same biometrics they took for DACA. I thought it was weird, so I repeated back what he had just said to me, to make sure I understood it correctly , and he confirmed that it was correct. So I guess, if you’ve just recently submitted an application to renew your DACA (which is what I had done), then they’ll use the same biometrics, but if they’re old, then they may retake them again.

When i received my biomatric appointment for AOS, a week after they sent me another letter not to go. They said they can use the one that i had when i renewed DCCA 4 months before. However, my attorney told me it is good idea to go for the new appointment.

Good Morning guys! Just wanted to share my AOS journey so far. Our case was received by the NBC on 10/23/2017, and I did my bios 11/2017. My work authorization has not been approved yet (Thankfully My DACA work permit expires 3/2019) BUT today my case says “Ready for interview to be scheduled” I’m low key freaking out because this is too quick right? I mean I guess I’m excited but what if there is something wrong? Or idk, I just wasn’t expecting it so soon. I’ll be calling my attorney tomorrow morning to see what his take on this is.

Did they say anything to you when you got there? Like “you didn’t have to come because your prints are still new”? My application center is soooo far away from my house I’ve been dreading the second part because I really don’t want to do biometrics.

Quick question for anyone that might know.... do you do biometrics regardless if you send app for I-765?

And another for women applicants.... did anyone have or had Medicaid and at time of interview the officer said something about it?

They did not say anything to me. I just took my finger prints. If you receive a letter from USCIS stating you do not have to go then do not go.

This is really quick. What is your field office? I have seen case status changing but people actually waited 8 to 9 months.

My field office is Phoenix Az and from what I’ve heard they are really behind on cases. So I don’t know. We are worried

I know most of these cities are really behind. The average wait time is 9 to 12 months. It is just a waiting game.

If it is at NBC, more than likely it is for your adjustment interview, not I-130. They must have gone through your process due to get through other cases without issue.

It can depend on USCIS. It is perfectly nominal for USCIS not to accept new biometrics, especially if they were quite recent.
