From Senator Durbin;

Quote:
.@POTUS, do the right thing for DREAMers. Stand up to @TXAG's cruel threat to end DACA & order @TheJusticeDept to defend it in court.

Even Durbin in this tweet is crying out for mercy. Not much he can do for us, at this point, except, indeed, encourage the President to defend DACA in court.

A Congressional bill passed this summer seems to be the only thing saving us from a potential lapse in status.

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this topic, but what is an injunction? Will it occur on September 5, 2017 or earlier?

This is setting up to be the perfect political move for the trump admin on immigration. Go extreme right on immigration, wall funding, money to deport, and border security. Use DACA to get votes for all that shit . Trump gets his biggest win of the Year (healthcare failed, tax reform will be difficult, and Nafta won't get renegotiated this year)

There is plenty Durbin can do, push for the BRIDGE Act! Reach out to the president and republicans and cut a deal.

This is what I'm worried about. Health Care Reform (biggest Trump promise) has been a complete disaster so far. He seems to have no clue whats going on. If that doesn't happen, Tax Reform is seriously doubtful (Markets will CRASH if Tax Reform doesn't happen). This was also another major campaign promise. Seriously, if none of these things happen..Immigration Reform will be tough. I just wish they had taken time with Health Care Reform but it just seems like Ryan and McConnell are rushing and catering to the big insurance companies by trying to screw over the middle class!

Guys whenever you mention legislation, it'd be great to not mention bridge act. This bill only kicks the can down the road and won't do us any good. Raca or some other bill with permanent relief is the only way to go.

What I'm afraid of is the Democrats will not cooperate because they won't want Trump to "score a legislative victory" and "win immigrant votes"

I don't know about you, but I'll take any legislation that will allow me to stay. Even on the brink of deportation some here will still be picky and cry full citizenship or nothing at all smh...
