No EAD approval until 5 months later after I made a service request, in January 2018.
Now I've been waiting, it's been 11 months from the sent date and 6 months from EAD approval.
I've been trying to follow this thread as close as I can, but recently haven't been able to so much.
But I saw that many of our members on here who had sent it around my time, have already been through the interview process or have gotten an interview letter already.

I'm trying to figure out first of all is this a normal timeline ?
Second, is there a service request I can send after a certain amount of time?
And lastly, do the approvals usually come in a certain time after the sent date or does it have to do more with the date of EAD approval? Please help in anyway that you can, thanks.
This sounds like a nightmare! OMG, this timeline is freaking me out. I expire 9/11. My dumbass submitted in May. ((((((((((((((((((((((((

You guys should relax...

It is not like DACA is dead yet for your to be freaking out. If you have a legit marriage there is absolutely nothing to worry about...

Just enjoy life and be thankful that you can even AOS.

Your time will come... Fuck your wife/husband and stop worrying about this shit.

I started my AOS process today with a lawyer. However, after reading the forum, I have a few questions. My lawyer didn't ask me to provide any pictures or joint accounts and any of my financial docs for the application. And he said to do the medical exam before the interview, but do not do it just yet, I will receive something from USCIS about not submitting it, but it's ok.
Did anyone experience the same thing?
thanks, guys!

You might want to clarify it with them. Especially considering the new memo. But since it starts in Sept, you should be ok. I didn't send any photos or supplimentary evidence other than our ID documents and marriage license. We did take a complete packet to the interview though.

are you sure they are a good lawyer?

It's true that you don't necessarily have to submit all the evidence when submitting your application, but in the current climate, I don't know why you wouldn't. Especially if there's a chance it speeds up a process that already takes too long. It's called front-loading the application. Did they at least go over the evidence you need to gather for the interview?

At the very least, you do have to submit all the information required for the i864 and evidence of financial support (taxes, w-2s, etc). Did they go into that?

The medical can be done/submitted before the interview. I submitted one with the application, and had to do another one before the interview (1 year and 1 week). good luck!

Thanks. That’s what we give him as well. He told us to prepare those for the interview, especially that we are getting a house, so by then we’d have more documents.

The guy has really good reviews online, and he seems to know his stuff. He took all the financial documents from my wife, just not mine. We are getting a house, so we will have all the joint documents by the interview, and I guess the pictures. And That’s the thing he said, the medical exam will expire after a year, so do it in a later date. But what I read here all have the medical sent in. I’m just wondering if anyone had done the same but went through.
Thanks for your answers tho!

I strongly suggest to do the medical before the interview. Reason being, its only valid for 1 yr starting or your PD ( the date received by uscis) I just had my interview today and I had that clarified by the interview officer

Thanks, my lawyer told me that USCIS changed its policy so medical does not need to be submitted with app due to the expiration time. How did your interview go?
