I'll find out what the damage is when I register for summer lol
Wow that sucks. You should ask someone at the international sudent services, because when I went to apply to Valencia, the lady said my EAD classified me as an international student.

Financial Aid require legal status, DACA only give us legal presence, thus we are not allowed to apply.

I live in Pennsylvania.
Out-of-state and international tuition costs 3 times more than in-state, school-sponsoring tuition... and I have been in a sponsoring school district for 11 years.

This post confuses me:
http://dreamact.info/forum/showthrea...822#post414822

I got my EAC and Social Security a few months ago.
Does EAC/SS qualify me as "being here legally" (in technicalities no, but in practice?). After a year would I possibly be able to apply for instate tuition?
Link is for Florida, but since that state isn't on the list, I'm hoping that I might be eligible.

I know in Connecticut you can get instate tuition. Connecticut is awesome like that! High tax state though so hey, get the good with the bad.

It's different for every state. once DACA came out some schools in florida were allowing Instate tuition with DACA.

The only catch was that you had to live here "legally" with DACA for one year. I got lucky because I just had graduated HS so I ddidn't need the one year. I suggest going to talk to an international student counselor at your school. That is where I got the most help.

Anyone here know if in Miami, Florida at MDC (Miami Dade College) they are allowing us to get instate tuition?

I called, was given the number to a Monica Miranda. I call every day numerous times and no one ever answers. Much less returns messages.

No one knows the answer to my question and sometimes they don't even know what DACA is!? (Have they been living under a rock??)
