I have to say it feels good being welcomed to the United States by the government. The little pamphlet they send with my GC was pretty awesome and made me feel part of this nation.

I understand that now, but do we file the 601a now or do we have to wait until NVC mails the visa info?

Hi guys, I currently have DACA and travel with AP and back last year, is the only way to adjust is through a US citizens spouse or you can also adjust through a U S resident spouse?

You can with both but with a US citizen spouse is much faster and highly recommend.

Make sure your spouse becomes a US citizen

If he /she has at least 5 years or more as a green card holder
Then file N400 which goes for $725 currently
Then wait about a year (currently waiting times can be more than a year everyone is in panic mode due to trump) for the spouse to be a naturalized citizen . Study in the mean time the 100 questions.
Then proceed to file your petition since you said you came back to the USA with AP

If you go through the process with your spouse having a green card expect several years of waiting (5 to 7 or more)

You cannot adjust through a US resident spouse. Unlawful presence is not forgiven through a US resident....only through a US citizen.

I remember the pamphlet too, i thought it was more ironic than anything since it says 'welcome to the US - a guide for new immigrants' but i've been here more than 15 years already but it does feel good. Congrats!

I have my passport with my US Visa and a stamp from date of entry on one page, however, I have lost my I-94. Have any of you applied for AOS without the I-94? Do you think I need it or would my Visa and stamp suffice? I really don't want to file an I-102 to get a copy of it if it's not absolutely necessary as the fee for that application is $445 which is ridiculous.

$445 is really nothing. See it as an investment.
