I do think reform is unlikely to happen this year. There simply isn't any time. The best thing to hope for is that climate change and financial reform get done this year so there isn't much left on the agenda for next year that can take the focus away from CIR. I do think they will put out a senate bill this year though, but I doubt there will be any action taken on it.

There is plenty of time left to pass it in the Senate. House is a breeze.

If it does not happen this then Dems will need the majority in House and Senate again which I think will happen because of the HCR and Energy.

senate is a pain in the ass, hate the filibuster, i love the teabaggers complaining about "rights of the minority"however the 100% caucasian group misses a point that minority refers to people like blacks or hispanics, not the minority party. anyhow what was jefferson thinking when he wrote the constitution? sure lets give them unlimited debate time, too bad that he forgot about adding a point saying that the debate has to be on topic and that every debate should end at some point, followed by an up or down vote
