Well I wonder how the work authorization thing will look/work.

However state financial aid and drivers licences would be a nice leap forward.

This is great news for NY! I hope it passes! It sucks for me tho because I'm only 10 mins away from the nearest NY town and if does pass I won't be able to take advantage of it cuz I don't live on ny :/

Just move to NY if it passes. I have a lot of families in NY, so this is not a problem for me. ^__^

LOL come on, that's stupid. If that were the case, thousands of immigrants from all over the country would move to NY. I have not read anything yet but I'm pretty sure this would apply to students who have GRADUATED from NY's High Schools.

This is pretty funny to me, states that already allow undocumented to attend colleges come up with their own Dream Act. On the other hand, states that don't allow anything get worse and worse. What a shitty country.

Good luck to NY dreamers.

LOL, I feel stupid afterward. I hope they will give people who have a AS from NY college license too.

Great news. Please God, let it happen.
If Dream happens in NY, I think UT has some more or less fair immigration bill adapted, maybe some other states will join to support humane immigration bills versus anti-immigration I'm sure Congress will have no choice but to roll out immigration reform. You cannot have bunch of states have immigration laws that are all different. It;s like you have to get drivers license in each state if you drive through it.

Please God. Let DREAM happen in NY. I lived here for 15 years.

Wow, this is great and I hope pass a version like this in other states also.

So what kind of Visa would this be for Dreamers in NY?

DA User, seriously you always ask the dumbest questions. Did you read the article? It said that they would get a work authorization. Sorry, just had to say it!

Work authorization is given at a Federal level with a proper visa. This is something new. Does this mean, there is a path to citizenship here or is it a temporary thing?
