If Republicans agree to this, they are seriously a joke. I am sure all of you know how easy it is to commit fraud on 245i. I think it is easier to commit fraud on 245i than the DA. Also, 245i doesn't necessarily legalize industrious individuals.

2Face, you might chew me apart for this, but I will believe that bipartisanship can still exist on an immigration policy and say that the DA, amended in its controversial, vague clauses, has a chance if combined with an enforcement strategy that Republicans want: E-verify.

Along with this topic, I have a small discussion scenario. Let's assume Obama is re-elected, but the congressional makeup stays the same or SLIGHTLY changes but still necessitating bipartisanship. What's the strategy then?????????? I ask because many of you imply that Democrats should leave the immigration topic alone until after 2012, a period in which many of you think Obama will still be in office. That's great, but what if . . . the senate and house look the same or slightly different? Wait two . . . four more years until Democrats control congress?

If Congress simply needed to pass the DREAM Act, it would have passed the DREAM Act. Seriously, stop posting such asinine things.

Oh yes, the deal. Obama and Congressional Republicans and Democrats need to handle immigration policy in the same way . . . pushing and pushing and pushing until the issue is resolved. Why in the hell is an immigration policy left alone for some time after it is blocked once. If it is blocked, get back to the damn drawing board until a compromise is freaking reached.
