Yes, getting a work permit qualifies you for a Social Security which should be given by ICE administrators.

Great, at least the news that we were so curious about are out. Now We do not have to worry so much about being deported. I wish we could get work permits with out getting caught though. Please Please!!! This thing makes me happy and sad at the same time. I wish that more could be done.

I would say this is great start and it will put DA back on table for negotiation. But we need to be calm and wait for actual bill to pass. This process will not be essy to gain anything out of it and also you have no gurantee on your future. We need something that gives us path to citizenship.
