Dudes, I am curious. If the bill is fair, how do you think the 5 Dems. that voted against the DA in 2010 will vote for this bill? Yea?
They're still facing tough elections this year so most likely still Nay.

The House is THE biggest obstacle for this bill right now. That place is a wildcard of Tea Party craziness that Rubio would have to beg Boehner to get them in line. Otherwise, this bill is dead on arrival. The Senate will still be a toss-up as well, but once the Senate gets going, there should be some momentum passed onto the House that it may have a slim chance.

Definitely agree with this. I feel like this bill may have a strong chance in the Senate surprising many. I would definitely expect some GOP votes by those on the fence senators who voted No in December and also possibly new voters because its a GOP influenced bill. The House is where the game will get tough for us. Hopefully House GOP will be willing to compromise with the new possibly bill announced by the Latino democrats. Things are definitely simmering up. Hopefully everyone is allowed to put their ingredients in the pot to come up with a finished product that can be served to the President.

Yup. If the Senate were to pass the bill, the GOP Senators would really need to spend alot of political capital to get their colleagues in the House to vote yea.

Entry requirement has been changed from age to a Date of Entry....

i'd be ok with that as long as the date is within at least 3 years from right now.

12/8/2010

Well to be fair Durbin's DA also had an requirement of the Date of Entry (that being 5 or more years before the act's signing into law).
