I am sorry but you guys are viewing the article through rose colored lenses. In this article, the house speaker notes it would be difficult at BEST,thus he is already signaling the likely progression of this bill if it even gets introduced. It will pass the senate but fail in the house. the Republican party is no longer unified on immigration policy, and Rubio what with his grandfather's deportation orders revealed is already losing credentials in the immigration policy arena. Like I have continued to state, unless house republican congressmen jump up and down for this bill, it will not pass. The dream act is nearing it's death bed.

I continue to maintain that unless the house republican vote can be secured and the senate democratic vote ascertained for that this bill will fail. Just look at Senator Mendez's views today on the subject, then you guys are hoping for nothing that is likely to become a reality. Until those two blocs are accounted for I am strongly assured that this bill will fail and crash hard. I would not be excited by a "of interest" statement quickly followed by a bleak forecast of it's expected life through congress.

I disagree with you. He also said that the idea is of interest to him. It could go either way. I am hoping for the best.

If the bill is fair, is supported by the most influential DREAMERS, and Menendez votes no, he is a prick. We should be the ones to decide what is FAIR AND VIABLE RIGHT NOW. What is the point of pushing for the original DA now if it is not feasible.

Overall, we know how frank Boehner is. Come on. Who are we fooling? This guy could have said, "No way in hell that is going to be addressed." If Rubio can get Boehner on board, the likelihood of something happening increases. Boehner is showing signs of flexibility. That is great news. Also, let's not forget that Senators Kyl and Hutchinson are working on something. Let's not forget that other GOP Senators who do support the bill once it is presented CAN put pressure on some of their colleagues in the lower house. It can happen.
