It was only the 2nd time it was voted on right?

Dream Act has been around since 2001.

Yes, yes, and yes to all the points presented.

For the love of Allah, correct the subject line. Demo-crates

It could have failed by 40 multiple votes or just 5 votes like it was. Bottom line it failed.

The language of the bill has changed drastically to increase its chance of passing and to garner a few more Republican votes. It succeeded it getting the votes, just not enough to surpass the 5 Democrats that voted against it.

Do you really think Durbin would revert to an earlier version of the DA.. One that has less likely chance of passing?

If he was politically savvy as he has been, he probably won't.

Honestly, the only hope I can see for 31+ if the scenario/situation I presented does happen, is a CIR.

CIR won't happen. Not until this nation finds another scapegoat for its shortcomings.

One thing at a time guy, we are a day away from being able to apply for Deferred Action and I'm so happy for all of you. Deferred action first then Dream Act, that seems to be the plan.

It failed because it was a rush bill in the lame duck. Also it had a direct path to USC.

What have you been smoking bro? It never offered a "direct" path to USC, it never has. 10 years of protective immigrant status do not equal a direct path.
