Seriously this is among the most reasonable answer so far. In reality and especially in politics, people have very short memories. This'll be nothing more than a temporary bump for Romney and as soon as Obama steps it up, it'll stabilize back up. Right now, the polls show that it has stabilized for the most part with Obama having a lead in most if not all swing states.

Remember the so called RNC poll bump for Romney? I don't either.

Also most of the people forgot about the lackluster RNC... where the republican party say that their policy was not gonna be dictated by "fact checkers" something we seen... most of romney's debate does not hold to reality but people like to hear nice stuff not the truth.... anyways eventually people will realize again why they liked Obama. specially if he is not high on the next debate, and actually gets back to the Obama of 08'

2 . If we were to regard Pew's poll as reflecting a new electoral reality, then surely we should be expecting Romney towards carrying certain swing states such as Florida, Ohio, and Iowa. The reality? Obama is still up by three points in those states.

3. The next huge presidential debate is on foreign policy, which is Obama's battleground and strength, and what with Romney's neocon colors showing, I expect him to heavily lose. The American public is finished with Bush era intervention and ill thought military first grandstanding. Plus, Ryan and Biden show off in three days, I don't expect Ryan to carry it, and I expect Biden to really stick it towards Ryan in the debate.

Be calm and carry on. Obama 2012!
Thank you for saving me the time to say almost the same. We live in a 24/7 news cycle and people take every little thing TOO seriously. How easy people forget what Romney said in his "47%" video...

But he apologized...he said he was completely wrong, so i forgave him.

This is the 1st of 3 debates. The debates dont even matter. Obama needs to move to Ohio now so he can spank romney when it comes time.

Exactly, particularly on DAP where mood swings and attitude shifts can happen so very quickly. Looking at the fundamentals of the race though I expect Romney to screw up in one major way or another over the next three weeks, and I just do not see Obama being so lackluster for the rest of the month to just lose dismally. Plus, most other polls still have a slight Obama lead, so quite frankly I don't see how PEW calculated their values to get such an outlier poll.

One thing I will say though, and have said quite some times before is the position that we should never be absolutist or complacent on this site, nothing is ever promised tomorrow today. When Obama leads, be happy, but don't assume he'll win, and when Romney leads, don't hang yourself and still have faith. Ultimately though, Romney victory or obama victory, please ace your classes at school, earn a degree, get a working history, relax, and keep options, weather here at home or abroad in other developed nations open. Together we aspire, together we'll achieve. Thanks to DACA we all have options now.

Yes, I totally agree. I said this yesterday as well. It is very unlikely the nation will change Presidents during an economic crisis. Obama has already started working on improving this economy. It wouldn't feel right to get him off half way through and bring somebody fresh in who has radical views. And frankly I feel like we have been over exaggerating about Romney getting rid of all immigrants if he wins. I don't think he would be able to do that. Lets say he wins somehow. He would have to deal with the issue and come up with a compromise for sure.
