So did you tell your boss that you were a victim of identity theft? what exactly did you do? Please share your experience! Thanks

I was able to change mine with no problems but i will now receive two W-2's to file my income taxes, with different SSN's.

I called the guy that prepares my taxes every year and he said that's not a problem, he will fix it when i file it. I assume it works similar to the ITIN/SSN mismatch for those that file with ITIN every year.

I know this threads pretty much dead, but finally got to talk to HR about my situation last week. After 3 months of going back and forth lol... Well, I was honest with the head of HR, but as soon as I said I had originally applied with a made up SSN, he told me he'd have to let me go. I had a feeling this would happen, so it wasn't too much of a shock. Time to find a new, better job

Yeah, I'm glad you are optimistic. It sounds like they are a little prejudice. Good Luck Dude!!! At least you tried and you were honest. I got tired of lying a long time ago. It is so hard to keep up with.

so if I already have a job? I'll still be able to keep it by switching my social?
