I'm just trying to make sense of my case and how it will be approached once reform happens. So, no. You're not reading this right.

You're obviously interpreting everything I've been saying as a request for a faster path to residency. This is where you are wrong. However, I don't believe that people who came here legally and fell out of status due to a form not being filed correctly, should be sent to the back of the line. I'm not asking for a faster route, just a fair one.

Well see that's where I feel the immigration system is unfair and broken. We all know every case is different. I don't think people with different cases should all be categorized into one big pile.

Basically: "I want a faster route but I don't want to do 2 years of school or 2 years in the armed forces I think because I have a process, it should but IN FRONT of everyone who does not share the process as me"

Okay good luck with this bro

What a terrible translation of what I said. Why are you insisting that I want a faster route? I said previously that I actually wouldn't mind going to school. In fact I was planning on it. Do I think it should be required for a green card? No, I don't. Not for anyone. Regardless of their case. Not just mine. School should be a choice that you make, same for the military. The fact that it may be required to do either to get a green card is forceful to me. Heck, I'd go to school if it gives me a green card, but I feel like green cards should be given to all of us. To me, that is true comprehensive reform.

As far as being in front of the line versus the back, isn't it only fair for someone in process to be in front versus someone who isn't? Why should people that have been in line have to have others potentially leap frog them?

First you say we should all get green cards, then you say why should people that have been waiting in line have to have others potentially leap frog them?

Forget it. I'm obviously being misunderstood. All I have been trying to say this whole time is that any of us that have some sort of process, even if it's just DACA, should be prioritized and not grouped into one big pile of illegals. That's why our immigration system sucks and we need reform so that each case is treated with care. Visa overstays, border crossers, filing mistakes. These aren't being treated as individual cases. That's the issue.

If I had it my way, I'd give US citizenship to every single illegal that wasn't a criminal. Obviously that will never happen, but to me that would be true reform. Or at least green cards straight across the board for everyone.

we get what you saying, you are trying to put preferences on people who are illegally but have doing a different process ahead of those who don't have anything

we get it man. You really don't want to do 2 years of either college or armed forces because in your eyes, the fact that you have a different process whether its DACA or say your brother or maybe wife/husband have petition should be enough for you not do 2 years in either college or armed forces and you should be put head of those who don't have anything but are as illegal as you. Because according to you, its not fair that even though you are illegally here, you are trying to fix your status the "right way" than those who are not.

If this is not it then either you are NOT explaning yourself clearly or I am just dont get it
