Yeah after 5 years you get your citizenship but still need to complete 3 more

Everyone that enlists does so for 8 years. Some do 2 active duty and 6 reserves. Its not any different than enlisting normally

For the most part status is meaningless when youre in. However, I believe I read that you get status early on so you can advance through ranks. Also It says citizenship would be revoked if 5 years arent met

What I meant to say is that the wording indicates that you should already be a citizen
