I believe the last variation of the House Dream act had an age out of 32.I seriously believe they need to remove it and I think Dream Act stories concerning this should be shared with advocates.

yeah but the last DA, the Republicans lower the age to 30 and didn't pass,
there was more debating going on but nothing pushed forward
with DACA it was "under 31".

Back then was different than now.

DACA age cap concern is a good point though, considering its an administration option introduced by Obama and the DHS.

Nevertheless, I see this new Dream Act having no max age cap, it just doesn't make sense, since the other requirements will make sure you did come into the U.S as a young one and have been here for a significant amount of time. Why punish someone for aging...

This is good news, but let's hope that Congress will continue to push for more reform if this act passes. They need to know that passing the DREAM Act isn't good enough.

One bill at the time guys

The way I see it

daca was the memo needed to show how a process would work. Now they have build a data of statics to see how it would work on something larger. From here a DreamAct is the next thing to pass. They already know would apply for it and would be easier for them. If we follow daca requirements it won be more than what they expected for DACA. Next is a C8R as both the DA and Daca would have paved the road into this.

But this just speculation I really would want sometjimg to benefit my parents

You would think they can just draft up a condensed 'quick passage bill' adjusting DACA beneficiaries into permanent status, we're already cleared and finger printed so it wouldn't even be a lengthy process. Oh well that's just my unicorn land wishful thinking.

This is a good move, because I believe democrats are putting more pressure to republicans on the issue of immigration. Their main goal now is CIR so this gives us more room for possibilities.

Other Democrats, meanwhile, reiterated on Thursday that a Dream Act alone is not enough.

"Been there, done that. We've moved on," Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said at a press conference. "I think the American people have moved on. ... I hope that they're going to put it on fast forward on the Republican side when it comes to dealing with immigration reform, because if the playing field for them is 'Dream Act is a good idea,' that's yesterday's news."
