I think Dreamers can believe it.The variation of Dream act in prior compromises were quite fair if not more so than introduced variations of Dream act.The only major questions that would be interesting to Dreamers are does the border triggers affect applying ?In addition, what could be the age cap?

I guess we'll possibly find out soon if they reveal more details.

What if the undocumented has a I-130 pending now and the PD comes before 10 years?

I wish this reform would change the sponsorship age of immediate relatives to Permanent residents.

basically he has relative who he wants to sponsor and instead of all that process he wants them to become immediate persomanent residents, basically once he's anchored he can petition for his family to get green cards right away.

well, no one is forcing you to apply for it in case it passes you know, if you can find another method of fixing your status, I suggest you do that instead.

Man I really hope they pass something by end of May..June latest. Its going to take another 5-6 months or so for it to implement and then more time for approval. We got a longgggg road ahead of us but no complains! We've waited years upon years for this moment.

This means you are not going to the back of the line because you already have a place in that line.
In my case my I30 PD is November 1998 and still waiting.

That is really his/her business, he/she has a right to gripe about it as it will affect his/her future. This deal is a poor trade off - the Republicans are going to get far more than they asked for in 2007, and DHS should really just start offering registration to anyone for whom they already have a file in the system.

As far as the AgJobs portion of this bill, apparently, farm workers will HAVE to stay as farm workers for five more years before optaining permanent residency. I bet they were hoping to leave that work behind and improve their lives once offered legalization, not five more years as indentured farm servants. Yeah, that agricultural worker who's toiled under excruciating heat performing back-breaking labor for years, if not decades, should just bend over and take it, right? No. If no one is allowed to advocate for themselves, if the Democrats are not going to advocate for us, then why were we fighting for this all this time?

Oh, and did anyone else read the article where they quoted a congressional aide as saying that those who've only been here for 2 years will get the same deal as the undocumented taxpayer who's contributed to the system for over a decade? Trying to find it again, so I can source it...
