thats what sucks about them and I feel so bad for them. Suppose a CIR doesn't pass and DACA later gets turned into something else. Well, they just threw that away. Or what IF a cir does pass but exclude anyone who left?

Well, when Obama couldn't get immigration reform done, turned around and did the opposite which led to more deportations than Bush ever did. -_-

They knew this but they wanted to be loud and make a point that they didn't care about the law and wanted to change it. They had no idea how big of a break they got with DACA and pretty much threw it away.
Completely agree, they had the opportunity of getting to have a normal life with DACA but completely wasted it because they wanted to play hero. They clearly knew what they were stepping into and now should confront the consequences of their actions. All of those that want to let them back in are letting their feelings get in the way and are not reasoning properly.

They are confronting the consequences of their actions- they are in solitary confinement.

Yes you're right but at the same time you have to give it up to these guys, it's these kind of acts to bring awareness to the issue that gets things done, not everybody wins, some sacrifice for others, yes they're basically threw away any chance of becoming citizens of the United States but at the same time it's acts like these that really get stories out there and get a movement going.. If all dreamers sat down minded their own business, didn't do stuff that made headlines, nobody would know about us and nothing would ever get done.

I would of never done what they done but at the same time I wouldn't sit here bashing these people.. Give them a damn break.. They're a part of a movement.. Thank god for people like them..

If nothing else, because of DACA, you have at least 4 years of guaranteed work authorization, a real social security number that is yours until you die, at least 4 years of a real state driver's license that you may even be able to renew if your state is immigrant friendly (ie, not Texas or Arizona).

And after all the time and money spent on background checks, IF there is any immigration reform be it KIDS, Dream, or CIR, DACA people will be the first in line and have a leg up on everybody else. They messed up. Maybe they can tell the story of how they were heros for a day when they're in their 60's in a village somewhere.

They're detained and facing criminal charges. What they did was out of desperation, what they should have done is wait which they didn't. Good things come to those who wait? They probably never heard of that.

We're not bashing dude, you're taking all comments the wrong way. We do not agree with what they did, that's all we're saying. Any argument you make against our points will be contradicted by something else. Follow all laws, specially if you're here illegally. Just because you grew up here and think you deserve something, keep in mind that you don't have any legal means to pursue your case. Unless you're beaten and apply for U-visa, get married, loop holes. The system is broken but why try something that's going to get you in even more trouble for years to come? If they do get let go however, it wouldn't be fair to the millions of would be dreamers who got their shit pushed in by ICE. What they did was stupid and out of desperation (HEROES) and the HOUSE isn't going to rush CIR by this.

I would be cautious in saying this...Many individuals from Central America and Haiti in the '90's who had TPS didn't think President Clinton would pull through concerning getting a more permanent status through the Congress either, despite being Republican controlled in the 104th.

On the issue of the 9 Dreamers,as mentioned they knew what risks were associated so I can neither fault or promote their actions despite one gripe. The general messaging concerning Dreamers and Dream act itself to lawmakers and the US public is that 'we came here through no fault of our own' and I don't see how the 9 promote that by voluntarily leaving and returning on their own as adults.
