Just one man holds the keys the future for our families if they are to live in the United States, Obama. If he goes small, he will f**k everything up for them because FOR SURE Republicans will never go near CIR as a form of vengeance against this decision and hence our fams who were not included will never get to adjust! It's all about Obama. If he is in legacy building mode and decides to go low key to look during his last two years to both liberals and conservatives, we are doomed because not a lot of people will be included. If he just goes by a "f**K it, I'm going all out" attitude, then we are in business. The true colors of this guy when it comes to immigration will come to light by his decision. Lets see if he is selfish or actually gives a shit. You gotta look deep into these things some times. We've been fighting for it for such a long time.

Those "anchor babies" are USC and we should not engage in the right-wing rhetoric that is used to discuss immigration. There is no such thing as an anchor baby; however, there are USC's.

Pres. Reagan granted amnesty to some undocumented under the 1986 immigration act that was passed through congress. Presently, the president cannot do that without congress.

You also have to take into consideration that whatever the action the president takes must not only be under his authority, but it has to be both defendable in the courts (which I'm sure republicans will challenge) and hate it or love it, it must also withstand public opinion. I know I'm going to get backlash for this, but this is politics after all. I wish CIR would pass and that our legal immigration system functioned a lot better.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. If this EO goes as mentioned where the undocumented immigrants who had kids here gain status expressly because they had babies here then the term is 100% factual. Come on now, we're among each other so let's be honest. How can someone who came here 20 years ago and wore a condom be any less deserving than someone who came here 10 years ago and spread their seed around?

So if you marry a USC does that make them an anchor spouse? Also if he grants relief to the parents of DACA recipients does that make DACA recipients "anchors?" And what about that person who came 20 yrs and busted their hump and also brought their kids over, but their child got relief and not them, who is deserving then? This whole thing is only a patch for a broken system. All I'm saying is let's not engage in the same rhetoric.

DACA parents should be included in the EO. It would be the right thing to do. Our parents need relief and cannot wait for the Republican congress to act. Obama you need to do this right

DACA parents being excluded is hugely disappointing, they deserve something for the huge sacrifice they made. Like others have said, since this is probably the only immigration action that's gonna happen for a while, the president should try to cover as many people as possible. No use trying to be all careful to not piss off the Republicans. They'll be angry with whatever he does.
