Even if DAPA doesn't get the surpreme courts favor and the republicans go after original DACA it would take close to half a year or more. You'll be okay but take in my it the Surpreme court rules in our favor it does not make DACA anymore protective than what it is now. This case it's just about what the Texan judge did to halt it. Any president can use an executive order to easily remove it. Before Trump it would have been in no presidents interest to get rid of it. Even mitt Romney change his position about it later on. Trump would get rid of it easily

An almost certainty is that anyone able to renew in 2016 will be able to, just be prepared to make the most of those last 2 years of a renewal if a repube president does win.

We would then just have to hope that the repube revoking DACA would be one of the reasons the repube loses a 2nd term and we get Democrats back in 2020.

But a Democrat president winning now would just avoid us all the headache, lol.

Another problem that we will always face though is that even if we get a president who supports our cause, we may not get one in 4 years, or 4 years after that and so forth.

Make the best of the moment.

I thought renewals were now for 3 years instead of 2? I could be wrong. Regardless, I'll make the next 2 years after renewal count.

Renewals are for 2 years until the Supreme Court decides on the November 2014 Executive Orders.

They were expanded to 3 years on November 20th 2014 until the Federal Court stopped the Nov 2014 executive orders which covered everything in the order (DACA expansion, DAPA, and the smaller things like the 3 year DACA).

lol welcome to the party! Didn't you hear all the hoopla about how the judge in Texas was going to hold the justice department in contempt because they let a few of those 3 year extensions get away after the injunction? It was kind of a big deal.

And if it is any consolation, without any bias, I cannot see any individual beating Hillary for the presidency in 2016...she is going into 2016 in such a strong spot (Even with the "can't be trusted" icon hanging over her head).

I do not see any strong repubes, and honestly I really think Donald Trump is the best the repubes got at an attempt to win the presidency, and that is solely based on his ridiculous spikes of popular votes in mock polls (due to his "I don't give a shit, and I say what I want" campaign strategy, which I find hilariously effective in herding white racist voters who are sheep to support him)...but remember that is mostly white angry old republican Americans with nothing better to do than to participate in mock polls.

For goodness sake there is an article now saying Marco Rubio is the front runner and can beat Hillary, and that Donald Trump is almost dead last in a General election mock election...I mean seriously, they can't make up their mind.

But alas, November 2016 is still 11 months away, and a lot can happen...but IMO she would have to royally mess up for her to have a guaranteed loss IMO...but you never know.

It will be Hillary vs Bernie.

So who is the best candidate to get CIR and/or Dream Act faster?

If all it takes is one party pooper to do all of this, what stopped them before with original DACA?

It seems all they have to do is this tactic and even original DACA beneficiaries won't be able to renew or have their work permits put on freeze rendering them useless.

EDIT: Nevermind, got my answer in other posts.
Its all a political game! Republicans WANT the immigrant vote. Its obvious to most that they don't have our back so they play with coded language constantly thinking if they refrain from going unhinged like trump, latinos and other immigrant groups will still vote for them which works since there are a lot of latinos that are republicans.

DACA was low key...not too many got relief so they let it slide but once The admin announced expanded DACA especially DAPA --all bets were off as they have to pander to their cukoo, bigoted, racist core voters. They also constantly think they need to put Obama in his place as he constantly does whatever he sees fit and refuses to embrace his role as a puppet.

I agree. But I think even if DAPA/e-DACA helped only 5 people, they would have taken issue with the program.
