Right...you disagree with me so you lump me with the Trump bunch. I take it you're Mexican and are trying to defend the honor of your people but it only goes to prove my point that Mexicans who come to the US have an unhealthy obsession with their old country to the point where it's actually offensive.

I've been here 30 years now and have met and worked with many nationalities. I don't want to give out too much personal information but take my word that many have been Asian, middle eastern, Southeast Asian, and being in Texas, pretty much ever flavor of Latino. I have only seen the other nationalities fly their country's flag during a cultural event specific to the respective cultures, or during World Cup time.

The ONLY other nationality I've seen who readily flies their flag has been Mexicans. I've seen it on people's cars, shirts, flea markets, and immigration protest after immigration protest. On job sites where everybody is working, the Mexicans are the only ones I've seen talk shit about other Latin cultures too to the point where it's almost like a Cast system and they are the top Latino cast.

I don't know why that is, but that's just been my observation. Americans are very proud people too but they are in their own country and back it up by being here. How can a people so proud of their country so readily leave it without being hypocrites?

Does that mean that someone from Guatemala isn't as proud of their culture if they don't fly their flag? I just don't get it. Maybe you can bring it up at the next luncheon.

It makes sense that most foreign flags you see being waved around are Mexican since they make up most of the immigrant population, so youre bound to find this sort of thing more than with other nationalities.

Wrong again.
I don't disagree with you, I hate when some Mexicans bring the Mexican flag to rallies that's the bottom line of this debate and even worst, now you are referring to Mexican as one monolithic group which according with you I need to defend.
Just because some Mexicans who came to this country are stupid enough to carry a flag to rallies you can't label all Mexicans with an unhealthy obsession with their old country. The majority of Mexican in this country are legal residents or American citizens many fighting for this country. I don't need DACA or DAPA but I fully support the cause with the American flag in hand.
If we want to move our cause forward we can't use the same rhetoric and divisionism of the anti-immigration groups. We can respectfully disagree among us.

That's exactly my point. We can not allow our diversity to divide us, and to do that we can't be disrespectful to our differences.

In 2001, Collin Powell and Jorge Castaneda were within days to reach an agreement in Immigration reform which congress had supported, USA-Mexico relations were as never before. George W. Bush said at one point that Mexico was the most important relation to the USA. Then September 11 happened and everything felled apart for the immigration reform.

I understand how disrespectful and politically incorrect can be to bring flags from other countries to an immigration rally, I fully understand that it can fire back to our goal. But we can’t blame the lack of progress to these protesters, the real culprits here are the terrorists which none of them were MEXICANS all of them were and are Middle Eastern people and that is a fact not a biased opinion about a certain group of people.

To bring any flag, other than US flag, to an immigration march is absolutely the most moronic act you can do.

You are not in Mexico anymore. If you think Mexico is so great, then please leave. If you want to be in Mexico, then please leave. Think about why you are here and not in Mexico. If you are so proud of being a Mexican, then why are you NOT in Mexico?

You are in US. You are a disenfranchised minority. Don't be stupid. Don't hurt your own cause.

I understand that, not all, but a huge portion of Mexican immigrants are uneducated, can't read at grade level etc. But please have some common sense. Please, don't be stupid.

No you cant say that, because when you talk about Latinos you are not talking about Mexicans you are talking about any Latino, Mexicans are Mexicans. Get your facts straight or go back to school. When you say Latinos you are talking about a huge group of people, if you mean to say Mexicans say so. Yes Mexicans are latinos but Latinos are not all Mexicans, so you start talking about Latinos you are talking about more than Mexicans.

You shouldn't also discard the possibility than anti immigration people are planting their own people there to use flags to get people like IamAman all riled up
