sample size too small
the link with the "data" isn't really reliable

if we have a spreadsheet with a lot of individual's historical data, then i could run a regression analysis but we can only eye-ball it

so, there are apps that we can search cases around our own to see the case progress, what if we each do that search around our own, share that info, this way we can have a pretty big data pool, and then you can do a regression on it? especially the near expiring or expired ones.

The issue with the IOE system is that the dates are not in ascending order, they are mostly random but within a month of receipt. You can search for your case number and then find out that someone with 2k cases above you had their case accepted before you. Also the IOE system allocates case lots to specific purposes and some of them are left empty for future use or they never get used at all. I don't want to discourage your efforts but you are going to find that your data is going to have many outliars and case numbers with no case attached to them.

Good luck.

P.S: Don't make more than 10k searches a day or your IP might get banned for 24 hours.

thanks, i didn't know that, tho it is confusing looking at the searches. is there a better method?

Not really since MERLIN, (the program that allocates the case numbers) does it automatically. I don't have specific knowledge on how its algorithm works.

in theory it would work, but it would take a lot of mining.

We could definitely control for things such as 1st/2nd renewals & initial applications as well as control seasonality/"trend".

But like the others have said IOE may not be ascending or descending in particular order.

Plan B: Just wait
