I submitted mine a few weeks ago. Mine expires in March. Fuck it. Life's a risk.

If they want to round us up because we want to use our college degrees so be it! If they want to round us up because we work hard, pay taxes and support ourselves and our families than so be it! If trump wants to look like a monster to the public and the world wide audience than let him have his wish!

I agreed. Got my education. They can take everything I own but they can't take my knowledge.

The problem with this is that there are a lot of people who will expire very early next year. Most of us myself included originally applied for the program at the beginning of its inception and therefore find themselves with recently renewed permits.

The logic behind Rubio's plan is that, many people will expire through no fault of their own.

I certainly hope that the next congress can address our situation and put it to rest once and for all.

One of the reasons why I did not completely dismissed Chyno is because I find the situation in which DACA is phased out and replaced legislatively more feasible than Trump not touching it at all. We will not know, congress is all dead weight, nobody does anything, much less for the undocumented folk like us.

I really hope that Schumer and the minority can work with Flake, Rubio and others to offer us relief.

We shall wait and see...

This is the same problem with Obamacare. How do they repeal it without a sensible program to replace it. The devil is in the details. Trump and other politicians talk a big game, but they know it is more difficult to take something away from someone that to give it to them in the first place. They understand the backlash from repealing Obamacare would be catastrophic.

At the same time republicans were amazed at how trump was able to squeeze out one great last white vote. His margin of victory in the rest belt and Florida is almost non existent. By 2018 and 2020 the republicans face an increasingly changing demographic of younger and more diverse voters. Their policies have to appeal to the center and not the far right fringe that is dying.

Where are all the usual (ineffective) NPIC suspects who could not gain a 'deal'- to paraphrase Trump -on our behalf all of these years? I don't see any of them working the news circuit...
