No reason not to make us LPR's....would be pointless if they are going to pass a law and replace DACA and still leave us with some bs status. I don't see why we wouldn''t be better candidates for LPR compared to any other random person that marries a U.S. Citizen.

I suppose. Though if they are repealing DACA and replacing it with legislation, those anti-immigrant groups will still freak out. These are all promising signs, but the details will be very important...

It's all about perception. LPR is not necessary.
As some else suggested in the past, we will get the "brown card". Basically DACA but as an official category. Maybe it will be a visa that may allow us to travel but no path to citizenship.

We would have lawful status though with whatever they pass... maybe an option to be LPR after a certain number of years. Ugh anything from republicans would be appreciated at this point. At least our narrative isn't criminals anymore this will garner us the sympathy and admiration we deserve as young, educated and successful people.

I know, but as far as having the wording on the card that it is only valid for work with DHS authorization. I have been denied credit because of that.....

We deserve LPR. Enough with this "deferred" uncertainty. Anything less than LPR should be for general undocumented population. We are higher up than general undoc population.

Man, if they get more strict, than things are gonna get really hard for many people here. Literally like half of DACA people or any other illegal immigrants in general have at least one Driving Without a License conviction lol. Have you guys ever gone to a traffic court in Cali? lol They might make it a requisite to be in college?

I do not think the same. There are many other people, many much more talented whose lives are quite more miserable than ours. I work with people who have been waiting for 12 years and they can't get a green card. They have PhDs and are experts in their field. Their future is very uncertain as well, Trump has pledged to make it hard to take away their work privileges and many will have to go back. I am not saying we are not deserving, but we are not the only ones in trouble. Meeting these people has given me another look at the bigger problem. We are not the only ones suffering and tired of waiting. I wished we could be given lpr status, but it is no longer necessary, be thankful if they give us a chance to stay, and pursue your path to citizenship, whatever that may be.
