It means they thought about it at some point. Maybe they will revive it. Who knows.

I dont buy the whole fake news label for this... They seem to have leaked this to measure the kind of blowback it would have.

Tbh I think this might push Congress to eventually act on CIR if not at least for us Dreamers. Everyday is new immigration news. Whereas before under the Obama presidency with the cases of the detained dreamers, or the mothers deported because of their criminal convictions no one except for maybe a couple Latino outlets would have reported on it. Now people are beginning to take a stance and many Americans that where neutral or undecided are shifting towards our side. The ones that are rascist or have their conservative views on immigration will be the same.

Look, it's not rocket science.

Someone drafted the memo. The memo is real and it shows the kind of people who reside in the White House. The admin considered it and either passed on it for the time being or it' still mulling the proposal over.

Some bureaucrat or opposing member of the staff came across it and leaked it in order to damage the proposal and the one who made it.

The White House denies it because that's what's you do with a policy you haven't decided upon.

But all the same, the cause of alarm, i.e. the fact that immigration hardliners are very much part of the White House inner circle remains.

This will all stop when they try to re-interpret the 14th Amendment administratively. That is one leak I would like to see.
