I think there is a good chance that DACA might be addressed. If they want border wall money, ICE agent hiring money, or whatever they have to ask congress. What motivation is there for democrats to just say "ok, here you go"? This is their best chance to ask for something immigration related. They know that they can't realistically expect CIR to pass with legalization for everyone, no matter how loud some of them insist on a path to citizenship. It's likely they might not even be able to get a DAPA like solution for our parents out of this. But the more they push for, the better chances we have to get something.

I think the republicans will ask for all of their enforcement money upfront. Democrats will say no. Reps will offer BRIDGE, Dems will demand path to citizenship, and my hope is that they meet somewhere in the middle and give DREAMers LPR status or renewable BRIDGE in exchange for enforcement money.

I believe it was Senator Isakson that came up with the idea of triggers in enforcement and legalization to help the process move forward. The problem however is that most Senate Republicans wanted border states to be given the option of what is considered a "secure border".

In short, be careful what you ask for.

Thom Tillis did.

why would Republicans have to negotiate with Democrats, they have enough votes to get Border Wall bill passed or any other bill they would like on both chambers.

McCain, Graham, Tillis, etc, would not vote for a wall by itself... so there go your 51 votes needed.

Senate GOP won't go along with everything Trump wants.

Hell no.

Plus, you have to satisfy Paul Ryan in the House.

Because they don't have a fillibuster proof majority. They are far from it.

I was thinking more like 35K since not everyone can come up with that much money in cash..
