I wouldn't mind e-verify nor not being able to sponsor anyone, as long as we're legally in the country and allowed to work, travel outside, that's all I care about, but Dems would never vote for a bill like that. That's way more than simple border security. Something like e-verify and RAISE Act would need to be part of CIR, not DA.

I don't even think republicans believe in E-verify, and I don't see anything they make getting 60 votes in senate.

You can't currently sponsor an aunt, uncle, or cousin. It's only immediate family you can sponsor (spouse, child, brother/sister, parent).

The freedom caucus is the extremist fringe of the house.

Let's hope the discharge petition works and then it moves to the senate. We will be better off if this happens.

That would be the dumbest deal in history. E-verify alone would solve the illegal immigration problem. E-verify would only be tradable for us and our parents.

I don't see what the big deal with E-Verify is. Years ago business would be scared to even touch the program. Now, I see it everywhere I go, including small businesses. Some states have already made it mandatory. Might as well get something in return for it since the majority are already implementing the program.

Can they really change chain immigration for citizens or will this be for us where a restriction is put on our residency so that we cannot sponsor?

I think the latter is okay. I am not sure how they would get around with the former. They are plenty white europeans etc. who also get sponsored by their USC spouse.
