This is the best option.

After December, there's no more leverage so they better think about that.

Also next year are the Mid-terms and who wants to vote in the middle of that?

Shuting down government for illegal aliens, is it really going to work? I just think that dems will back down as soon as they start getting heat.

its just not that, with Trump ending the cost sharing reductions for the ACA, Dems can threaten hella shit from DA or compromise provision on CSR in the budget bill.

the heat is on Republicans tbh, Trump states are gonna lose their healthcare cuz of POTUS recent executive order. and they control the WH and Congress. they bout to lose hella seats in the midterms.

they can shut down the government over DREAMErs, cost sharing reductions, re-extending child healthcare, etc. which are all popular policies.

Exactly, CHIP has not been funded.

Democrats have the energy and momentum. The liberal base is pissed

you guys are underestimating our chances.

just continue to live your life, finish your school, and go to work. just keep yourself busy.

trust me, legalization will happen in no time. it will be December once you know it.

It seems like Everytime the government gets shut down, the Republicans never feel the backlash come election time.

This is the first time they are in complete control. It’s different now

The point is that Democrats (and sane Republicans) don't squander the opportunity to pass the DreamAct.

They need Dems to pass any funding bills. That is the only reason I am still hopeful that something will pass. I just hope Schumer and Pelosi have the guts to stick with it.
